ASSISTANT TEACHER, “FIRST TAKE” AND DOCUMENTARY COURSES (2008-present):

JACOB BURNS FILM CENTER MEDIA LAB, PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.

Taught 8- to 10-year-olds all aspects of filmmaking, from pre-production through completion of their own original films.

Instructed students in the use of both Handycam and Sony EX-1 cameras, green screen technology, sound recording, and editing software (iMovie and Final Cut Pro).

Provided input for the development of a future “First Take” curriculum.

Acted as guest artist-in-residence for a summer film program following a screening of own 16mm films.

Developed and taught an original course on modern 16mm filmmaking to adults and teens.

FRENCH WOODS FESTIVAL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS, HANCOCK, N.Y.

Developed and taught a summer-long videography course for pre-teens at a prestigious performing arts camp, assisting students in shooting and editing their own films.

Moved from entry-level to mid-level position within six months at this busy post-production “house” in midtown Manhattan.

Served as the executive scheduler for all of the facility’s editing sessions and machinery.
