Working within local schools, we supported teachers to guide students in selecting issues that cause rifts between people and communities, or within society as a whole, so they could explore a topic and present a way forward in a very short film.

The Youth Film Challenge culminated in two public screenings of the top films followed by a Q&A and panel discussion on the topics raised in the films. Filmmakers in attendance were honored for their achievements and participated in the panel discussions.

Bring Productions
We act as a resource for visiting productions providing connections to local cast, crew and services. We also advertise the beautiful locations in the Berkshires to bring sets, and their business, to our communities.

Community Film Fund
The CFF will “match” monies up to $5000 per organization. A letter stating that the funds have been raised is a requirement with the grant application. We believe the Community Film Fund will help give a voice through video to our local organizations as well as create jobs for our local filmmakers.

We create job opportunities for local professionals in the film and media industry.

Education
BFMC is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, media literacy and visual arts to the young storytellers within our communities. Through innovative educational programs, production courses, workforce development workshops, and accessible resources, we work closely with the students and educators of our Berkshire County public schools to empower them to create and share their stories.

Uplifting Local Businesses
We connect local professionals and introduce them to local businesses who need film/video for their marketing, promotion and social media.
