I completed the master makeup program at Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles in February, 2013, where I was fortunate to be mentored by such top professionals as Leonard Engleman, Michael Spatola, Don Lanning, and Lee Joyner, head of Cinema Makeup School. I was also chosen to compete in the "Battle of the Brushes" student competition at International Make-up Artist Trade Show in Los Angeles where I won first place in the Beauty/Fantasy category. Although I'm considered to be a well trained, talented and creative makeup artist, I also value my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. In all my projects, it is important to me to have a vision of the characters I'm creating and an awareness of their motivations, personalities and struggles. Whether I’m working on an ethereal woodland goddess, a sci-fi underwater alien, or a beautiful ‘50s pin-up girl, I strive to bring emotion and purpose both to the characters I create and the makeup I design for them. This practice has led me to become invested not only in makeup art, but in costume design and hair styling as well. I like to see a complete picture, and am committed to creating an integrated package. I love working with others, especially with those who share my passion, determination and dedication. I look forward to the opportunity to create characters and creatures that inspire and move audiences.
